KABUL (Pajhwok): A non-governmental organization (NGO) has organized a free medical camp for students and teachers in the Khwaja Bughra High School in Kabul.
The free medical camp is set up by “Afghanistan Education Support Coalition” in the No.2 school of Khwaja Bughra.
Abdul Tawab Raoof, head of this organization, in the camp’s inauguration ceremony, said about 7,500 teachers and students would receive free of cost treatment.
He said special doctors in different departments such as orthopedics, nerves and spine, general surgery, general internal medicine and dentistry were available in the camp.
He said 200 different types of medicines were being given to patients.
“We treat teachers and students who cannot afford doctor’s fees,” he added
Tawab said their organization was established in 2017 and has been providing services in areas of education and health, capacity improvement, English and computer courses.
Obaidullah, an 8th grade student, said: “Today, this camp was established in our school and sick people are distributed medicines, I have toothache and lack of appetite, I got painkillers and two bottles of syrup”.
Also, Idrees, a teacher, said: “We are happy that a free medical camp is providing medical services to those who are facing economic problems”.
He said such camps should be held in future as well,
