KABUL (Pajhwok): Two passengers waiting halls and a park will be built in Torkham Port to facilitate Afghan refugees deported by Pakistan, according to a statement on Saturday.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation on its Twitter handle wrote: “UNHCR officials during a meeting with Nangarhar Refugees Department Head Baz Mohammad Abdul Rahman pledged the construction of 24 metres long and 10 metres wide waiting hall for refugees.”
The source said the ministry also built a waiting hall 50 metres long and 10 metres wide.
This comes that Pakistan government two months earlier announced the deportation of thousands of illegal immigrants, including Afghans.
