KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) will provide 4,500 scholarships to Afghan students over a period of three years in the third phase of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship scheme.
Pakistan Today quoted Pakistan caretaker Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training Madad Ali Sindhi as announcing this at the graduation ceremony of 281 Afghan students in the second phase of the Allama Iqbal Scholarship program.
The third phase of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s educational scholarship program for Afghans has been started and 4,500 scholarships will be given to Afghan students in a period of three year to study in Pakistani universities, Sindhi said.
He said in the first two phases of the scholarship program, more than 6,000 Afghan students were granted scholarships.
