JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three people have been arrested with more than 400 kilograms of narcotics in Spinghar and Ghanikhel districts of eastern Nangarhar province, police said on Monday.
Mawlavi Faridullah Mohammadi, spokesman for the 201 Khalid Bin Waleed Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News that border forces seized 402 kilograms of hashish in Mamand Dara area of Spinghar district and arrested two persons.
The detainees, currently being investigated, wanted to smuggle the raw hashish across the Durand Line, he said.
Separately, police have arrested a third person possessing 1.8kilograms of shisha, 700 tablets K and 0.5 liter of alcohol.
He said anti-narcotics department personnel investigated the suspect and handed him over to judicial organs.
