3 killed, 1 injured in Badakhshan avalanche

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): At least three people have been killed and a fourth wounded as a result of an avalanche in the Shahr-i-Buzorg district of northeastern Badakhshan province.

Mohammad Kamgar, director of natural disaster management authority, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Khumay village of the district on Saturday.

He said four individuals who were on their way to attend a funeral ceremony in the neighboring village hit by an avalanche.

He said three individuals were killed and the fourth one wounded.
