KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir has asked domestic and foreign organisations to support Afghans in combating drought
Maulvi Kabir issued the call during a meeting with Kochi (nomad) leaders from Laghman province at the Sapidar Palace here, the Presidential Palace wrote on X.
He said drought had affected millions of Afghans, asking national and international institutions to help Afghans cope with the phenomenon.
On the other hand, elders of the Kochi tribe said they were facing issues due to lack of schools, health clinics and potable water.
According to them, drought has hit them hard this year and took a toll on their livelihoods.
