Offer Eid prayers at 7:30am simultaneously, imams asked

KABUL (Pajhwok): After the Supreme Court (SC)’s moon sighting committee’s announcement that Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, the Ministry of Hajj has asked prayer leaders to perform the Eid prayers at 7:30am.

The ministry called on religious scholars of the country to make preparations for celebrating the festival with religious zeal and fervor.

The hajj ministry asked the entire nation to perform Eid prayers simultaneously at 7:30am.

The ministry also asked imams to read out the Eid message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) at the end of their sermon.

The Ministry of Hajj said imams should encourage the people to extend necessary cooperation to the government in maintaining security of the country. “Strictly avoid anti-IEA propaganda, gatherings, and stay away from those who create insecurity.”

Yesterday afternoon, the SC of Afghanistan announced that Wednesday will be the first day of Shawal and Eidul Fitr.
