KABUL (Pajhwok): Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Beijing, on a two-day state visit, media reports said on Thursday.

Following his arrival in China’s capital in the morning, he went into talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on various topics, the Associated Press reported.

China and Russia declared a "no limits" partnership in February 2022 when Putin visited Beijing just days before he sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine, triggering the deadliest land war in Europe since World War Two.

The Russian president will also attend in Beijing the 75th anniversary celebration of the recognition of the People's Republic of China by the former Soviet Union.

According to TASS, Putin and Jinping signed a joint statement on deepening the Sino-Russian strategic partnership, ushering in a new era.

The allies inked 10 joint agreements, including an initiative to develop the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, protocols on requirements for beef and other products exported to China
