KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan-Turk schools have organised a day-long exhibition in which local food, handicraft, calligraphy and art articles were put on display.

The general exhibition of Afghanistan culture and its people was held in the Aryana Boys School in the Shah-i-Du Shamshera area of the capital Kabul.

Ibrahim Fateh Gochlu, general director of the Afghan-Turk schools during the inauguration ceremony said this was the first time that such an exhibition was held by these schools, and its purpose was to inform the young Afghan generation about their original culture, and they will launch such programs in the future.

He said: “Nearly two hundred projects, including handicrafts, traditional foods, Afghan clothes, etc., prepared by the students of these schools, have been exhibited.”

Kumars Tawhid, a seventh-class student of Aryana Afghan-Turk school, said this exhibition was organised to introduce the culture of the people of Afghanistan.

He said: “Holding these exhibitions will make the people of Afghanistan more familiar with their culture and in the future they will further promote their culture.”

Sayed Rahman Imran, another student, said: “As you all know today, the public exhibition of culture and literature was held in our school, where all the students displayed their art, sports performances, and handiwork.”

He considered it important to hold such exhibitions for the further promotion of Afghan culture and called for such events to be held in the future.
