Nicaragua names ambassador to Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Nicaragua has named Mishael Campbell as its ambassador to Afghanistan, a media reports said on Sunday.

Campbell, currently Nicaragua’s ambassador to China, will take on the additional role from his office in Beijing, AFP reported.

“We thank the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, that people, that government, for the blessing they have given to our comrade Campbell,” Nicaraguan Vice President Rosario Murillo said.

Earlier, China, Iran and Pakistan had also appointed ambassadors to Afghanistan without recongnising the interim government in Kabul.
