MoRR inks agreements worth $1.5m with 4 NGOs

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) has signed four agreements worth $1.5 million with four non-governmental organisations.

On X, MoRR wrote it signed agreements with the Institute for Risk and Crisis Reduction, Social Welfare and Guidance, Canadian Organization for War-Affected Children, and the Norwegian Refugee Council.

The accords valued 1,466,150 US dollars in total.

Under one of the agreements, “Canadian Organization for War-Affected Children” will spend $732,064 dollars on different projects in the field of vocational and technical training, sewing equipment and books distribution to support 600 displaced families in Nangarhar province.

The Norwegian Refugee Council will build shelters worth 650,000 dollars in the provinces of Kabul and Nangarhar, benefiting 9,433 families.

The Social Welfare and Guidance Organization will allocate 72,086 US dollars for skills training, and health packages in Herat and Nangarhar provinces for 500 returnees and displaced families.

About $12,000 worth of food and health products will be distributed to 200 families in Kabul by the Risk and Crisis Reduction Organization.

On December 29, 2024, MoRR signed three agreements with three organizations worth more than $9,400,000 million.
