KABUL, The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
The multinational force said in a brief statement the troops died following an improvised explosive device attack, giving no specific location or the victims’ nationalities.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the assault in the Sabari district of Khost province. A spokesman for the group, Zabihullah Mujahid, said six US soldiers were killed and their tank destroyed in the bombing.
With the latest fatalities, the death toll for international troops in Afghanistan rose to 107. Americans have borne the brunt of the casualties.
