KABUL): Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers werelost to a roadside bombing in the Khak-i-Jabar district of central Kabul province, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Wednesday.
In a brief statement, the ministry said the attack took place on Tuesday.
The statement added another five soldiers were wounded during separate blasts in central Uruzgan and southern Paktika provinces.
Meanwhile, the Taliban killed an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander after his abduction in Uruzgan.
The ALP commander, Mohammad Ajan, had been abducted three weeks ago and his body was found dumped in Kharcha area of Dehrawud district on Tuesday, the district police chief, Niamatullah, said.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for killing the ALF commander.
