KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistani law-enforcement personnel on Friday claimed detaining three members of an Al Qaeda-linked group in the port city of Karachi.
The Crime Investigation Department identified the detainees as Junaid Alam, Arman and Hassan. They were associated with Ashaab, a group working for Al Qaeda.
Explosives and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from their possession, DawnNews CID officer Raja Umar Khatab as saying.
It added the men were active in Karachi universities, where the group recruited religiously-inclined students. The men did not use mobile phones in their operations.
