Taliban kill 3 Turkmen border guards

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Taliban province, an official said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday night when the militants crossed the border into Turkmenistan from the Maqur district, the governor’s spokesman, Mirwais Mirzakwal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Another two Turkmen border policemen were injured in the gunn attack, he said.

Neither Turkmen officials nor the Taliban have so far commented on the incident.
