KABUL’s tribal region of South Waziristan on Thursday.
The CIA-operated drone fired two missiles at a compound in the Azam Warsak Village of Birmal sub-district near the Afghanistan border, a media report said.
Dawn quoted local officials as saying four suspected insurgents were killed and several others injured. The dead included an Arab national named Adil, the newspaper added.
South Waziristan is one of Pakistan’s tribal districts close to the Durand Line and Al Qaeda operatives.
Also on Thursday, paramilitary troops seized 4,000 kilograms of explosives, suicide jackets, rockets and other weapons in southwestern Balochistan province
During raids in the Gulistan area of Qilla Abdullah, bordering Afghanistan, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered.
An Afghan national was arrested during the operation, which led to the seizure of 31 sub-machine guns, 101 missiles and other weapons.
