MAIDAN SHAHAR (Pajhwok): The district executive director for Sayedabad district of central Maidan Wardak province found dead on Friday after he was abducted by Taliban gunmen four days back, the acting governor’s spokesman said.
Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the slain official, Izatullah, was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from Srakala locality when he was heading home from his office.
The militants shot Izatullah dead in Khwaja Omri area of Chak district today, Khogyani said, adding that the 26-year old had been working on the same position for the last three years.
However, militants have not yet commented on the incident.
