GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed and the tribal affairs’ director wounded in a blast on Friday in southeastern Paktia province, health official said.
Haya Gul Paktian, director Paktia hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News a bomb was tied to the director’s car when he was returning after offering Friday prayers.
The bomb-went off, leaving him wounded but he was stated to be in stable condition.
Separately, a child killed and four others were injured when a bomb detonated. Gul said children were in critical condition.
Col. Zalmai Oryakhail, provincial police chief, confirmed the incident. However, Taliban did not comment on the incident.
