KABUL summit in Poland’s capital Warsaw next week with full preparations in areas of defence and security.

Abdullah expressed these views during a meeting with NATO senior civilian representative Ismail Aramaz at his office in Kabul, a statement from the CEO office said.

The statement said Abdullah and Aramaz discussed next week’s heads of states summit of the alliance in Warsaw and Afghanistan’s preparations for the July 8-9 gathering.

Abdullah said Afghanistan would go to the summit fully prepared in areas of security and defence and hoped Afghanistan would achieve long term support commitments.

The CEO said the unity government was effectively advancing the reform process in the security and defence sectors and was committed to implementing its own pledges.

The alliance senior civilian representative said member countries were committed to long term cooperation with Afghanistan.

He said the Warsaw summit was an important event with regard to Afghanistan-NATO future military cooperation.

Aramaz said they had worked with the Afghan departments concerned in making their plans and preparations for the summit and all aspects had been covered.
