2 teachers succumbed to wounds in Zabul attack

QALAT (Pajhwok): Two succumbed to their wounds in hospital after they were attacked by militants in the Seyorai district of southern Zabul province, an official said on Saturday.

Education Director Rahimullah Ludin, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place late on Friday when the two teachers were out for a picnic in Boragi locality.

The teachers sustained deep wounded in the attack and succumbed to wounds in the hospital. He deplored the incident and said education was the right of everyone and nobody would be allowed to harm sources of education in the country.

Provincial Council Head Haji Ata Jan, Zabuli denounced the attack and said the attack was carried out by anti-state elements.

Taliban have not commented about the incident.
