HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The bodies of two women mysteriously murdered have been found in the Guzra district of western Herat province, an official said on Wednesday.
Abdulahad Walizada, provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bodies were recovered from Siyoshan desert on Tuesday night.
The reason behind the murder of two women was yet to be ascertained. Police, however, launched investigation into the incident, he added.
But a local security official, who wished anonymity, said the Taliban killed the two women and attached a notice to their bodies, claiming the slain were involved in adultery.
Walizada denied the killing of the two women by Taliban. He said it could not be confirmed that the Taliban carried out the murders.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the killing as yet.
