Six Daesh — also known as Islamic State — fighters were killed and a civilian named Lal Syed slightly wounded when clashes erupted between Taliban and Daesh fighters in Chaparhar district.
Separately, seven Taliban were killed and two others wounded during an airstrike in Garatak and Babakhel area of Chaparhar district. A vehicle and a machinegun belonging to the insurgents were also destroyed.
