KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Wednesday said selling and buying plastic toy guns and firecrackers was banned, warning violators of legal action.
In a statement, the ministry said the security forces had been directed to strictly prevent the sale and purchase of harmful toy guns and firecrackers.
Some toy guns had resulted in injuries to children and the use of firecrackers provided criminals an opportunity to conduct harmful activity, the ministry added.
It urged all countrymen, particularly residents of Kabul, to avoid things that could disrupt security or fuel cause concern among people.
The ministry asked parents to keep their children away from toy guns. It also directed shopkeepers not to sell firecrackers; otherwise police would take action against them.
