KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Adviser (NSA) Hanif Atmar has assured Uzbekistan that the Afghan security forces would never allow terrorists to cross the country’s border into the neighboring country.

A statement from NSA office said the advisor and his delegation met deputy security advisor of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

They discussed joint fight against terrorism, narcotics, drug trafficking and organized crimes in the region besides other challenges and threats and stressed joint solutions.

According to the statement, Atmar assured the Uzbek security officials that Afghan security forces would not allow terrorist groups to cross the border and harm the people of Uzbekistan.

He said the Afghanistan government considered the enemies of Uzbekistan as its own and that both the countries had security, economic and cultural partnerships and would continue to cooperate with each other.
