JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 14 Daesh (Islamic State) rebels have been killed in fresh drone strikes by the US forces in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashirqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News the US forces conducted the air raids on Daesh hideouts in Mamand Dara, Marghay and Owsatkhan areas of Achin district late on Monday.
He said 14 rebels, including a woman member of the insurgent group, were killed in the airstrikes. Security forces and civilians suffered no casualties. Daesh is yet to comment on the drone attacks.
