PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Kabul says.
Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Omer Zakhilwal told reporters after a visit to the Taxila Museum on Saturday the neighbours needed to work together for peace in the region.
The present mistrust between the neighbours would end soon, he hoped, saying the people of both countries were averse to tensions. He sounded optimistic of improvement in relations.
Zakhilwal told a questioner that things were moving in the right direction on the diplomatic front. People-to-people contacts and relations between the two nations could not be harmed easily, he said.
Cooperative relations were important for both countries, the diplomat said, calling the Afghan students studying on Pakistani scholarships agents of change.
