KABUL Cricket Board (ACB)’s selection committee on Sunday announced squads for upcoming ODI and T20 series against Zimbabwe.
The series is scheduled to start from February 5 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Nawroz Mangal, ACB’s selection committee head, on Sunday named the two squads for ODI and T20 games during a press conference in Kabul.
He said the tour would begin with two 20-over games on February 5 and 6 before the 50-over matches scheduled to take place between February 9 and 19.
Mangal said the health condition of fast bowler Hamid Hassan was good and he had been given the chance to play in T20 games after a lot of practice.
Mangal added the matches would also include Mohammad Shahzad after his one year suspension over a failed doping test. “He has been practicing hard and is ready for the matches.”
About Karim Sadiq, he said: “He has played well and shined in the previous Shpageeza league and in the ongoing Ahmad Shah Abdali championship. He achieved the man of the match titles in both. Therefore, he is given the chance to play against Zimbabwe as well.”
