MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Local security officials on Thursday said bodies of three girls had been found in Mazar-I-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province.
Provincial police spokesman Sher Jan Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News they found the corpses in a ruined building in 10th police district of the city this morning.
Investigations into the incident have been launched and the bodies shifted to civil hospital for identification, he said.
Dr. Noor Mohammad Faiz, head of Ibn-i-Sina Civil Hospital, confirmed receiving the women’s bodies from security officials. He said all the three were girls who had been shot to death. The victims are yet to be identified.
About a month back, a girl mysteriously fell to death from a city building. Residents are worried about the rising crime graph.
