Family violence: Ghor woman commits suicide

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A married woman has allegedly committed suicide by drinking acid in western Ghor province, an official said on Wednesday.

The woman, identified as Seyah Moi took her life in Ahangaran locality of Ferozkoh, the provincial capital, late on Tuesday night, Iqbal Nizami, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Moi took the extreme step due to family violence, he said, adding police had taken the woman’s husband into custody.
