IEC announces Wolesi Jirga elections results of another 5 provinces

KABUL elections preliminary results of Laghman, Zabul, Kapisa, Panjsher and Nimroz provinces as well.

Addressing reporters, IEC head Abdul Baday Sayyad on Sunday evening announced the names of winning candidates as following:

Laghman:

Gen. Abdul Munir Tarakhel, Mohammad Rafi Mamozai, Eng. Mohammad Alam Qarar and Zaifun Safi.

Kapisa:

Mirdad Nijrabi, Haidar Afzali, Iqbal Safi and Khadija Alham.

Panjsher:

Zalmai Noori and Rahila Alham.

Nimroz:

Farida Hameedi and Gul Ahmad Noorzad.

Zabul:

Abdul Qadir Qalatwal, Hamidullah Tokhi and Zahra Tokhi.

According to Sayyad, these are initial results a change is possible in the final results. Those candidates who have failed they could register their complaints in 24 hours, he added.

Earlier, the IEC announced the Wolesi Jirga elections primary results of Daikundi, Farah, Uruzgan, Jawzjan, and Bamyan provinces.
