It added, during a meeting with the UN special representative for Afghanistan, support for the conduct of free, fair and transparent presidential elections was reaffirmed.
Earlier, IEC said 50 persons have so far received information packages of presidential elections from the commission but no one has so far registered as candidate.
According to the schedule of presidential elections, the candidates registration process begun on December 22 and would continue until January 2, 2019.
