KABUL (HIA) has been printed.
The 29-page report, authored by Mustaq Rahimi, a political affairs expert, in English language is also available in Pashtu and Dari versions.
Mushtaq Rahim told Pajhwok Afghan News in his report he evaluated the efforts and factors that led to the success of the peace and reconciliation process between the Afghan government and the HIA.
He said the study identified enabling factors and limitations in the peace process, the resulting agreement and its implementation and lessons that could be used in future peace negotiations.
According to him, all factors that paved the ground for the reconciliation with the HIA have been discussed in his research report.
“The report also mentions the participation of Kabul-based HIA leaders in the peace talks and the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan, on the basis of which the HIA chose peace over war.”
He said the report discussed how the increasing Taliban’s power compelled the HIA leadership to reconcile with the Afghanistan.
