Khanabad residents protest against youth’s murder

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Residents of Khanabad district of northern Kunduz province on Tuesday protested in front of the governor’s house against the killing of a youth by an illegal armed man.

Three days back, the youth, Ghulam Ali, was killed by an illegal armed man at Khanabad port.

A number of tribal elders and influential figures staged the rally in front of the governor’s house in Kunduz City against Ghulam Ali’s murder.

Mohammad Navid, a protestor, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Ghulam Ali had no issue with anyone but he was killed by an illegal armed man.

“Ghulam Ali was a poor boy and was doing his own business,” he said.

The protesting people urged the government to arrest the accused and warned of continued protest in case the government did not arrest the killer.
