Cop killed, 3 civilians wounded in Mazar-i-Sharif blast

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A policeman was killed and three civilians were wounded when a bomb blast ripped through a police vehicle in northern Balkh province on Tuesday evening, an official said.

Police spokesman Adil Shah Adil told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosives were placed on a bicycle that went off near the Mazar-i-Sharif prison late Tuesday evening.

He said a border policeman was killed and three civilians were hurt in the blast.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
