Another presidential guard assassinated in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Another security guard of the president was killed on Wednesday in the limits of the eighth police district of capital Kabul.

An official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Karta-i-Naw area of Kabul this morning.

The source said investigations about the incident were underway. The official did not name the victim and also provided no further details.

The Presidential Palace is yet to comment about the incident — the second in just a week.

A few days back, Abdul Ghafar Ahmadzai, a bodyguard of the president, was seriously injured in a bomb blast and succumbed to his wounds in a hospital in Kabul.
