KABUL (Pajhwok): Government has put in place strict security measures during Eid days with special vigilance on Mosques, parks and places of worship, officials said on Saturday.
Addressing reporters here Rohaullah Ahmadzai, spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, and Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said special security arranged had been put in place for Eid.
They asked the people to contact 100, 100, 1001 in case of suspected circumstances or individual in their places.
Rahimi asked the massed to avoid celebratory firing, use of explosives and warned against strong reaction in case of violation.
He said: “The Taliban issued a false message claiming they never harmed civilians while the reality is that they always harmed civilians.”
Rohullah Ahmadzai said security institutions have chalked out a joint security plan for Eid.
He said security forces would be on high alert so that the people could celebrate their Eid secure and peaceful environment.
Referring to the Taliban’s false claims of not harming civilians, he said women, children and innocent people suffered most of casualties last month.
