Above 300, 000 Afghan refugees return this year

KABUL (IOM) said on Friday.

In its report released on Friday, the IOM said since January this year, 124,696 Afghan refugees voluntarily returned from Iran, but another 158,771 refugees were forcibly repatriated.

It said so far this year 14,000 Afghan refugees returned from Pakistan and among them 2500 were forcibly expelled.

Also this year, 369 Afghan migrants returned from Turkey voluntarily but 7900 others were deported.

More than 1100 Afghans returned from European countries this year, the IOM report said.
