<p>KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Three US forces were wounded in a green on blue attack in southern Kandahar province on Monday, an official said.</p>
<p>Governor spokesman Baheer Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened late in the day in Kandahar Airport when an Afghan soldier wanted to open firing on US force but he was killed in retaliatory fire.</p>
<p><a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> Spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed responsibility for the attack and said Taliban’s infiltrator named Safiullah carried out the attack in which 12 US forces were killed.</p>
