KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least five people were wounded as a result of a landmine blast in southeastern Khost province on Thursday, an official said.
The explosion took place in Mujahid Square in Khost City, the provincial capital, at around 8:30 am, police spokesman Adel Haidar told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The attack targeted a special forces’ convoy, Haidar said, adding the security forces suffered no casualties in the blast, which injured five civilians.
