<p>TALOQAN (Pajhwok): At least 11 <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> insurgents and seven security forces were killed during a clash in northern Takhar province, an official said on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Police spokesman Khalil Aseer told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash erupted between security forces and insurgents in Qura Tapa area of Dorqad district on Tuesday night.</p>
<p>He said seven security personnel, 11 Taliban insurgents were killed and two security men and six rebels were wounded. “The clash has ended and the situation is currently under control,” Aseer added.</p>
<p>In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said two ANA soldiers were killed and two others wounded, including a policeman, in the clash.</p>
<p>The Taliban also confirmed the clash. The group’s spokesman said 16 government forces were killed and a number of others wounded in Dorqad clash.</p>
<p>He claimed the fighters also seized a number of weapons and ammunition at the clash site.</p>
