Afghanistan records first death from Covid-19

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Afghanistan confirmed its first death from the novel coronavirus on Sunday, saying the victim died in northern Balkh province.

Dr. Khalil Hikmati, head of the Balkh Health Department, confirmed the death of first Afghan citizen from coronavirus, saying the man hailed from Chamtal district and died Saturday night.

He said the deceased had not visited Iran and doctors advised him to say home after he performed his test, but he violated their advice.
