KABUL and India have exchanged views on the ongoing peace process, regional consensus around it and a humanitarian ceasefire.
In a phone conversation on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Haneef Atmar and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval also discussed medical support to Afghanistan amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Atmar welcomed India’s humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan during the current pandemic and called for greater cooperation.
“In response, Doval stressed the importance of regional and international consensus around the Afghan peace process and reaffirmed his government’s support for a stable and peaceful Afghanistan,” the statement added.
