ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Two suspects have been detained over allegedly spying for Iran and links with Taliban in northwestern Nimroz province, an official said Tuesday.
A source in the National Directorate of Security department in Nimroz told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The intelligence department arrested Adam Khan on spying charges to Iran today morning.”
He said Adam Khan aka Tajeer had been traveling to Iran in his cargo truck when he was detained.
The detainee was currently being interrogated and he would be referred to judicial organs after investigation, the source said.
Separately, intelligence operatives detained an individual named Ahmadullah son of Haji Obaidullah – resident of Helmand – for having links with Taliban.
