SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): At least 10 Taliban militants have been killed and as many wounded in a clash with the security forces in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Thursday.
Zabihullah Amani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the insurgents stormed security check-posts in Gula-i-Takhta area of Sar-i-Pul City, the provincial capital, late on Wednesday night.
He said 10 insurgents were killed and 10 others wounded in the overnight attack. A security official was also killed and 15 others were wounded, Amani concluded.
