SHARAN (Pajhwok): Acting Public Health Minister Ahmad Jawad Usmani on Saturday vowed to appoint professional female doctors in districts in order to meet their shortage there.

During a trip to southeastern Paktia province, Usmani pledged to deploy more female doctors at local health centers and promised positive changes in Paktia health sector in days to come.

Usmani said the 75-bed Paktia Civil Hospital would be soon promoted to 100-bed.

He said people of Paktia suffered major health related issues besides other problems which would be resolved soon.

It is worth mentioning that people of Paktia had earlier registered complaints regarding lack of female doctors and demanded resolution to the issue.
