KABUL head Salahuddin Rabbani has decried the current framework for the intra-Afghan dialogue.
Restoring peace to Afghanistan in the present framework was impossible, the former foreign minister warned while addressing an event in Badakhshan province on Friday.
The Jamiat-i-Islami chairman underlined the meaningful participation of all parties to the ongoing conflict to make the peace parleys a success.
Absent a firm commitment to peace, an inclusive framework and handling the dialogue process as a project would cause a deadlock, he said
Rabbani was addressing a public gathering that marked the 9th anniversary of his father Burhanuddin Rabbani’s assassination.
Ex-vice president and Jamiat’s deputy head Ahmad Zia Massoud accused both the government and the Taliban of not being interested in restoration of peace.
