Hairatan border with Uzbekistan re-opened after 4-month

 

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Border crossing between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in northern Balkh province opened after four months of closure, an official said on Friday.

Governor Spokesperson Munir Farhad said the Hairatan Border crossing opened for Afghans today (Friday).

He said people crossing the border are tested for coronavirus and if any person tested positive he/she is shifted to quarantine centre.

It is worth mentioning that border between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan was closed four months earlier due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
