MoPH records 66 new Covid-19 cases, 10 deaths

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health on Saturday announced detecting 66 new Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours, with the total cases reaching 43,035.

In a statement, the ministry said 170 people underwent tests during the period, with 66 people testing positive for the infection.

Of the fresh cases, 31 were detected in Balkh, 26 in Kandahar, six in Kabul, two in Zabul and one in Nimroz.

The ministry said 27 people recovered from the disease during the past 24 hours, taking the recoveries to 35,063.

At least 10 people died from the virus and thus the deaths reached 1,605 during the period.
