KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has discussed recent developments in the peace process with EU and NATO ambassadors, Presidential Palace said on Thursday.
The ambassadors greeted Ghani on progress in the peace parley. The sides discussed the implementation of commitments made at the Geneva Conference, Ghani’s office said in a statement.
It added EU officials hailed the government’s efforts, stressing the process must pave the ground for main negotiations.
Separately, Ghani also met NATO’s Senior Civilian Representative (SCR) Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo on Wednesday evening.
The NATO envoy also greeted the president on progress in peace talks and reiterated support for the Afghan security and defence forces.
