FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): At least six people have been killed in a traffic accident in northern Badakhshan province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Sanaullah Rohani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the fatalities included three women and as many men.
The vehicle they were travelling in veered off the Baharak-Faizabad highway in the Khwaja Abdal area and fell into a river late Sunday night.
Rohani said rescue teams had arrived at the scene to fish out the bodies.
